W/B + Defouler on same 02 sensor?

First off, apologies if this has been brought up already, but I couldn't find anything in search that asked this specific question:

Can I run my AEM Wideband with the defouler mod on the 2nd 02 sensor *and still have the w/b read correctly*?

I'm guessing that restricting the flow to that sensor (defouler) is a big no-no for accurate wideband readings, but if that's the case, am I stuck with a CEL forever? Exhaust in question is catless.

What I did for my wideband is just go to the local muffler shop and have them weld in a new bung between the upstream and downstream sensors for the wideband sensor. You want that sensor to be somewhat close to where the exhaust tubes come together.

This solution eluded me somehow, haha. I'd prefer the cheap way out IF I can get away with it (defouler + w/b on same 02 sensor) but I seriouslly doubt I can do that. Getting a shop to weld in a bung isn't exactly expensive either...I'll probably end up doing this.

#1, using a nonfouler causes the sensor to get a "bad" (lower than actual) reading, which ends up reflecting what it is expecting to see if there was a cat. So, it would not read correctly if you put a nonfouler on the WBO2.

#2, the wideband sensor is a different sensor than the stock one, it is a "wideband" sensor, which outputs a wider range of voltage.

basically, no, it will not work. to run a wideband, you need to add a 3rd bung and sensor to your exhaust.

The stock j pipe should have an extra bung in it.. Thats where I put my wideband.

The Innovate LC-1 will let you simulate a Narrowband signal with it's WB controller, but they also warn you to place the sensor downstream of a turbo as the hotter temp. and exhaust pressure is bad for the sensor. (which rules out replacing the primary O2) I have an iON 3" TB exhaust and the bung the previous owner put in is in the wrong place, if I ran over anything it'd probably shear it right off. (protrudes below the exhaust pipe instead of being at the top.) So somewhere between the turbo and the cat is ideal. (mine's not catless though)
