Void warranty?

:
2003 Mazda Protege
hey guys,
will a cold air intake void your engine service, same as an exhaust, i have to bring it in for an oil change and might take all that s*** off if it voids it, thanks

How much do you have as far as an exhaust? And yes a non factoy issued CAI will void the warranty. Its just an oil change, why no do it yourself and save yourself the hassle? Or atleast take it to a quickie place you can trust. Just make sure you keep all your recipts either way you go.

Having a CAI won't immediately void your warranty. Legally, Mazda would have to prove that your CAI caused something to fail. For example, if you had AC problems or brake problems, a CAI has no effect on those systems and your warranty would still be in place. But, if you hydrolocked your motor because your CAI sucked up a puddle, then you'd be screwed.

But being that you have a 2003, how much warranty is left?
