P5MoJo are you on www.moccforums.com? you should join

one advice... does your hood come with the weather strip at the front like underneath a stock hood? if not you should really consider putting that on, it helps reduce a lot of the vibrations that you'll see your hood doing when you are on the freeways

no my hood did not come with weather stripping and i think it's making a squeeky noise from the latch area i think. oh, i adjusted the rubber stoppers but my hood doesn't sit flush so i might decide to go with the hood pins. Do you know where I can get weather stripping? I'll join MOCC soon thanks

I just got my dgm carbon fiber eyelids and grill put in my red P5. My Vis c/f evo hood is in the mail set to be here tom. Getting pretty anxious, I'll post pics tom.
classic red + Carbon fiber= gorgeous

yup, i think the squeaking sound you hear comes from the latch place, i heard lots of squeaks when i didn't have the stripping on there but theres no more now since i have it back on.

i went to the mazder dealer to get the stripping, i think its around 11 bucks, i'm not exactly sure, it came with these black plastic clips for you to snap onto the stock hood but i took them off, i'm pretty sure you can get some weather stripping stuff at your home depot if you take the time to look for the right size to match the stock stuff.

does the line on either side of the hood not match or is it the front? cause you can move the fenders in and out to match up the side lines, i don't have hood pins but mine matches up quite well.

I just got my vis cf hood on last week. My hood vibrates a little, but my husband (who has been doing body shop work for 10 years) said every hood is going to vibrate, some are just a little more noticeable than others. And as long as the hood is latched you shouldn't have to worry. But anyways, car looks good!!!!

thanks mazdachic, as for the weather stripping i might as well go to the dealership and spend the $11. As far as the hood, because of the adjusted stoppers, it raised the hood a bit. Not too noticeable, but i'd prefer it to be lower close to stock settings. it still squeeks but its not loud, just something that makes you want to fix it. i dk
