Virus' on Limewire

I don't use Limewire, but i know someone that got a crazy virus. Here's what she said:

Hey everyone just to let you know of a problem I had this weekend I had downloaded a program off of the internet LIMEWIRE to be exact PLEASE BE AWARE OF A NEW VIRUS AND USE CAUTION WHEN DOWNLOADING FILES !!!!
I had noticed my mcafee flaggin s*** left and right out of nowhere immediately after extracting the file, although mcafee flagged them it would not let me quarrantine clean or delete anything!!! I almost had to toss my whole hard drive! this virus is total devistation!
My brother suggested using the sbc package that was free with my dsl heres a lil of what I went thru today.......

585 viruses found quarrentined and deleted with no traces this virus was the most malicious thing I could ever fathom it downloaded 1038 program files<like vice city porn and 400 screensavers> it disabled my anti virus
DELETED MY SPYWARE SCANNER THINGER attached itself to 280 pictures
executed 9 programs at once 3 times enabled file sharing on limewire and opened everything I own for the whole internet to download

I never use limewire for downloading programs. Dumbest thing ever. Torrents are so much more reliable and faster downloads most of the time. And if I do download any type of executable or compressed file, scan it first, before running it, before extracting it, before doing anything to it. Dont download WMV or MOV movie files, cause they'll ask you to open webpages and s***, I like mp3s, AVIs and MPGs when I wanna listen or watch something. Pictures arent a big problem if you've updated to the newest patches micro$oft has out.
