I know Begi makes the best intercooler cores, but they are a bit pricey. Finding endtanks for their specific sizes is not easy either, which means they will have to be custom made or in house from begi.... which means even more money...

Anywho, Im looking at a Vibrant core now. Anyone have any experience with them or know how they perform?

Not sure about the IC's, but the exhaust has been great. I have a catalog with their exhaust and intercooler products. IC's are bar and plate and available in several differnet sizes with pre-welded end tanks and are also available as core and end tanks separately, so you can customize their offset to help with pipe routing. If you buy them as separate pieces, make sure you have someone that is good at welding aluminum, because making it look pretty can be pretty tough. I'm sure the complete units are computer welded, and will look good right out of the box. The welds on my exhaust are super clean.

I wouldn't expect anything crappy from Vibrant, I would assume they make quality products, just have to make sure you know someone that can weld well and get the right end tanks. Speaking of which, does anyone know where to get end tanks like the Perrin setup?

Off Topic: Haze, I must say I love the wheels - they're dope

Ken, I just ordered some parts from you, the Gasket set and ARP head studs...would there be any way that you could assemble a custom FMIC setup that utilizes a vibrant core with end tanks set up like the Perrin?

shoot me a PM and let's talk

I used a Vibrant extruded tube and fin which they no longer make but they offer the bar and plate style now.

I personally have not seen inside one yet but I agree that they usually make a good product... unless there could be fitment issues.. like a downpipe... They need better jigs..
