Dork, It Starts wit a P and ends in orsche...

That alone makes up for the lack of the second Cam.

For a Mazda engine to be as cool as the 944 Motor, it would have to have 7 Cams...

Or a 4 rotor...

I used high-temp caliper paint for my valvecover. I just got equipment for powdercoating so keep that in mind. I'll post about offering to do other people's parts after I hone my skills on mine. I'd like to be up and running within the month.

Ok thanks. Did you do any prepartion prior to painting it?

Also: Is 500 degree paint sufficient? or is something higher needed? Thanks

I followed the How-To for preperation; sanded it with 150 grit sand paper, sprayed degreaser on it, washed it off, and repeated.

I sure as hell hope it is! I dont want to have to repaint this thing anytime soon.

You can get paint designed for the engine. I think 500 is fine but paint is cheap, so get the next level hotter.

Degrease before you sand so you don't waste your sandpaper sanding grease. I'd get a wire wheel for a drill and use that to clean it after the degreaser, before sandpaper.

Thanks for the tips. Think I might try to paint mine this weekend. I really like the look of the polished lettering, would like to do that too, just don't want to copy. Maybe I'll paint my lettering yellow or something. Great job though.

Shoot man dont worry about copying that. I copied it from someone, and they copied it from someone before them. I think a yellow valve cover with black letters on a yellow car would be super hot.

Alright, cool. I've seen the yellow ones and I don't like them as well. I'm going for mostly black under the hood except for yellow strut bar and yellow vac. lines. Think that will look pretty clean, oh and I need to get an altima yellow top too haha. Thanks again
