Valve cover breather??

Not sure if this has already been talked about but is there any benefit of removing the hose from the valve cover to the intake and replacing it with a filter? Here is a link to the video that has me bringing up this question. I'm guessing its mainly just a visual thing.

I heard the car runs like s*** with a breather. The point would be to stop PCV gasses from recircing back into the intake avoiding that bad residue build up that can happen in your intake/inlet (this car is known to have a problem with that). The guy in the vid is an idiot though. A valve cover breather is not going to suck in more air... just filters stuff coming out of the engine.

Dear lord, thats plastic chrome plumbing too!!! I only know it because we had a Mazda 3 come in for engine work and he had made one out of this crap. I was afraid I was going to break it if I took it apart it felt so cheap.

Moral of the story, DONT BUY THIS CHEAP s***!!!!!

That is a bad idea.
The engine will draw in unmetered air and the fuel trims will get screwed up.

The guy in the video obviously has no idea what a PCV valve is or what it does.

ive got a spectre intake on my cpe short ram lol its actually a nice design. as far as the breather valve **** that. just run a secondary occ between your valve cover and intake to catch any crap
