well my prosport gauge is reading that im getting vacuum but no boost but my d.w readfs that i am getting boot and all the right connections are made to the gauge. whats the prob???

Could be a bad gauge also. The Prosports haven't been known to be the most reliable. I think most people use the line that comes off the BPV.

Just go get a cheap manual boost/vacuum gauge from any auto parts store to verify what's going on. And yes, "tee" it off of the bpv hose. You might like that manual gauge enough to either keep it, or get a better one.

Remote sensor electronic vacuum/boost gauges have never been as reliable for me as good mechanical ones.

You can also (I believe) disconnect the line going to the gauge and blow into it and see if it goes up into the boost region...that is, if you're ok with sticking that line in your mouth LOL. But, technically, that should work.

If a manual gauge does not show boost, then you do have a leak or more serious problem somewhere in the boosted side of the intake tract, or with the ECU. It could be a loose clamp, a burst hose, a problem in the turbo, in the turbo solenoid holding the wastegate open, or in the ECU itself. There would be multiple reasons that the turbo is either not building boost, or the boost is escaping somewhere.

He doesn't say whether or not he is getting boost (should be pretty self-evident), but I believe he's just saying the guage is not reading it.

ight thanks im going to do that but if the gauge still does not read boost what might be the problem???

Mysleeper6, I took this quote above to mean that he was going to get a manual gauge and test to see if he then got a boost reading, and was asking what might be the problem then if there was no boost. I was trying to answer that question. Did I miss something?

No I don't think you missed anything, but let's face it: do you need a guage to tell you if your car is making boost or not (that's the 'self-evident' part)? I took his question to imply that he was still asking about his connection.

OP: what have you found out? Forgive my ignorance, but what is the "d.w" reference in your original post?

first of all it is a speed 3 lol and second its a electrical gauge and d.h means dashhawk. its hows that i am getting boost on the dashhawk.

Oh, d.h not d.w . Well, if Dash Hawk is showing normal boost, it's your gauge, sender, the bpv hose or your "t" fitting. Get that mechanical gauge.
