V3 triton installation help

I need help locating the positive headlight wire because this is supposedly the wire that dims the turn signals when the headlights are turned on. Thank you. I have a mazdaspeed protege

Hold on...what? Are you talking about the dimmer switch, the 12 V power wire leading to the headlight housing? Be more specific please.

Ok basically what I am trying to say is this. The v3 triton comes with an optional wire that makes the system dim when the headlights are turned on as to not blind the incoming drivers at night. I am trying to figure out what wire to splice into to make the system dim.

Ok, well what is the V3 Triton? Is it a headlight bulb, turn signal bulb? I'm not familiar with this product.

You could splice into the headlight wires on the dimmer switch in the dash, to the left of the steering wheel.

It is a turn signal bulb that is a switchback led, I got it off v-leds.com.

And that would automatically dim the bulb when I turn on my headlights? Or do I have to manually do it by the dimmer switch?

Depends how the led's are wired to work (do they dim when they see voltage or dim with an open circuit?), I wired my gauge to that switch to turn on the back light with the headlights.

you should be able to tie into one of the side marker wires. that way, they will dim when you hit the parking lights.
