Using the Factory Unit

I know it's possible to use it, but how good does it sound?

I just bought a 12" RF Kicker sub and 400w L.A. Sound amp.........

I am just going to take it to an audio store around here and get it installed....anything special i need to tell them with the factory setup (6 disc changer..)

Thanks in advance

just need a LOC . (line out converter) or if you amp takes speaker level inputs.

and BTW the red sox pwn the cards!!! LOL

first we need to know what is the stock unit your using.

if its a regular unit, yes you can use a loc to get the signal from the speakers, and properly adjusted,it can sound good...

but if you have a bose system, dont forget that each speakers are amplified,so i think that if you use a loc, your going to get some noise and loose the power of the speaker,(i am not 100% sure,do some research)some guys over here know the bose system better than me,so you should be sure about it before making a moove...

I don't think it's the Bose one. It just says Multi Function Audio something

It doesnt say Bose on anything int he console

I know I have the Bose HU and it does not say it on it either but it does say Bose on the amp under the driver seat and the sub under the passenger seat. It also says Bose on all of the speakers (not the tweaters.)

The big speakers on my driver and passanger door say nothing...so I assume it was not a Bose system.

Good, so after I get it installed later I'll be good to go.

How long does installation take cause I dont want to wait for hours...?
