Well, as car MPG targets are rolled back, I think you will see people buying more cars, because that is what they will be marketed. The move to SUV's was driven less by people's true desire as the car companies desire to sell more SUV to get around MPG requirements.

When the T30 Xtrail came out demand was so great that any importer could sell all the stock, it was demand in the UK that prompted more SUV's onto the market.

Haha I'd sacrifice it to finally get the car here..probably spin it off with something like..
US diesel ownership..be careful what you wish for!
Hopefully kidding but expectations are high and the extended wait is pushing them even higher (for me)

No expensive but a unique product, I moved from the Audi to the Xtrail.
The Yeti had the same following, but didn't appeal to me, too small and cheaply made.

The X-trail has a reputation here of being one rung down from the CX-5 in terms of quality and drive even though it competes with it.

I'm kinda tempted by the new Acura RDX. Engine and power are great. Just wonder if it has better electronic toys than the cx5.

New RDX for her, diesel(lord willing)CX5 and 2nd gen BRZ4me..I like to think ahead but yes new RDX does look good- and fits right into what we'll need going forward..ie ditching the 3 row its waste for us, we almost never use it and nothing but complaints when we have (Highlander) which she likes but I think she'll take the small downsize for added well just about everything else other than displacement and maybe resale but it should do ok...question now is how much and how much for the Aspec with all the goodies..time will tell but looks like Acura is at least trying to find its way back with this iteration.
