i am doing the 626 intake mani install and i an having a problem. i bought the 626 install kit from pg and the egr pipe is not working at all! i just read that you can just plug them, but how would i go bout doing that? heeeeeeeelp me

get a cap for the exhaust mani. small filter for the intake mani

how about u install the stocker back until u get the right piece?

u cant just put a filter on the IM, it will leak under boost and u will cut up the egr

yes, u can do that. its how i have mine setup. but u will get a cel

u have them both plugged? and the cel, will it be anything that henders the performance of the car? any side effects?

because its setup up to run with the egr gasses running through it.

so will i need to make any changes to my tune to take into account for that? and how far will my afrs be off?

depends how aggressive your tune is. mine knocked it a full point leaner

I finally got the EGR pipe to work... 2 HOURS LATER!!! Thanks for the help, because another 30 minutes later and i woulda just plugged it

well now i need to know about this...

i got a new EM which doesnt have a port for EGR. and now im getting p0171 - or as i now call it, "the problem code". is this because its leaking under boost?

No, that is not your problem. When I had my boosted P5, I had my EGR setup the same way after installing the 626 manifold. Left the pipe bolted into the IM, cut it a couple inches from there, and put a breather filter on it. Ran it that way for at least a year without any problems or CELs.

And full boost too. No leaks.

EGR operates by vacuum so that gas travels only one way.. from the exhaust into the intake, so under boost/positive pressure the passage is closed or otherwise you would be leaking boost with or without the EGR pipe hooked up.
