Upgrade parts for the MSP

As some of you may know we make turbo sytems and upgrades for the MP3/PRO5.

We plan on purchasing a company vehicle soon to start making additional aftermarket products for it. We are just investigating what Mazda has in store as far as how many more units they will produce of this car in successive years to see if producing parts is actually feasable. I know that there will be a 2003.5 model that will be released as well. So we are deciding between the MSP or another car that I will not mention at this time in buying and developing parts for it.

If we decide to get one of these things we plan on fabbing intercooler upgrades, bigger downpipes, fuel system upgrades, intake systems and exhaust sytems. My question to ya'll on the board is would you be interested in such products? If I could get an initial show of interest that would be very helpful for us in determining if we should pursue this market segment.

I feel confident that we can boost this car to 9psi without breaking the tamper seals on the turbo and getting 210 whp or 240 hp at the motor.

All input is appreciated
Thanks
Terry

All of the above modifications sounds really good!

I'm sure many people would agree with the stock MSP could free up some more power. 210whp at the sounds awesome.

Show me the products already!! I'm interested!!! (thumb)

I think that is a good idea. Why are younot mentioning the name of the other car? just wondering

Will the design change incorporate a turbo? Or will it be a tottaly different motor?

Thanks for the responses guys keep themm commin!!!

Maybe. Mazda had that twin-turbo Mazda 6 in Europe and that used the same 4-cyl that will be in the 3.

Yes, it will be an all-new motor.

Nobody has all the details on the new Mazda 3, and nobody has any details on the Mazdaspeed 3.

I think the protege new design will still have the same motor from what I have read except that the body and some other stuff will be based on the ford focus:(

Wrong...

The new Mazda 3 isn't going to come to market until 2004, maybe 2005 model year. This doesn't effect the 2003.5 MSP.

The Mazda 3 will share the same platform that the Focus, and whatever small car offering Volvo has. It is not based on the Focus, it is a whole new design. The motor is all Mazda's design and Mazda refined the suspension design on it to handle more like a Mazda.

It will use the 2.3 liter motor in the Mazda 6, and possibly the present 2.0 liter motor...

Oh wait, for on topic....

Why are you being so secretive about the other car you are looking at??? Is it another Mazda product?!?!

stutters, the Mazda 3 will be here in Nov-Dec of 2003. This was confirmed by Mazda of Canada about 6 weeks ago through my dealer.

If the mazda 3 is a focus with mazda badges I'm gonna be pissed I'll never own another mazda again, unless its rotary.

I just said its not a Focus...

And we'll see when it gets to market, the dealers don't know anything...When did they say you were getting the Mazdaspeed??

spoolin....any possibility of you working with mazda at all? Like you design and make the parts, mazda tests em and pending approval stamps em with the "mazdaspeed" badge?

I dont know what kind of stuff they have planned for mazdaspeed add-ons for the MSP but if its a limited offering then the ability to shell out relatively minimal coin on their part to use spoolin sourced things and make it look like "mazdaspeed" went balls out might be a good thing. Personally I plan on trying to stick with mazdaspeed only performance mods. Of course once I see what they offer, or should i say DONT offer.....I may change my tune.....
