Update on AEM

You heard right. Actually they are begining production really soon if they haven't already. I still have to get the dyno sheets from them from when they had my car. I gave them my car for another few days last week to do some fitting for a heatshield. Depending on what AEM's owner says they might even make hardpipes, but I haven't heard a final word yet.

Once they fit the final product on my car I'll post up pics. If you have any questions that you want me to ask them pm me.

im sure dyno results will be posted either by the guy on the forum that lent them his car..if not by AEM.. im pretty sure it'll be on their site tho (i hope)... but yah, Robert said that (quoting):

"The V2 will not be made for the MazdaSpeed... atleast not yet."

I would post up the results is I had them. They haven't given them to me yet. I will be sure to get the before and after comparison.

Cool - keep us posted. I'm glad they'll be making a heat shield for the SRI though. I'm curious to see the price (and hp increase) comparisons between their CAI and SRI.

Ok, I just got off the phone with the R&D guy that has been working with my car. According to him it will be 4 to 6 weeks before the first production piece is finished, after, they will need my car again to fit it on my car. Yes, they are making both CAI and SRI which he said make power really close power to each other but also said the CAI is probably the better of the two to go with. He will be calling me with updates and when they need my car again. As I get updates I will update you guys.

Yeah the CAI is more expensive, thus it's better. Again, the marketing of the CAI product wins over the dumb minds of car enthusiasts.

Get 'em V 1

cai was tested to have a bit more gains on msp than sri (so i heard from somewhere).. but then again for u 10psi guys it might be diff w sri... iunno.

He said 4-6 weeks & he posted on November 18th. If you can count, then you'll see that it might be just in time for Christmas. :D

I personally think no matter which intake you put on this car the turkey noise will still be the same. The stock air box muffles the sound and when you take it out the sound is more noticiable.

i jsut got my injen 2 weeks ago and i must say its pretty loud. And it has a better throttle response to me then the oem. But damn it gets loud. I love it :D

Is the sound loud inside the car? Does anyone have a Ion intake? Does anyone feel a differece by switching from CAI to SRI?
