I copied this from an email I received. Seems light signups might cause event cancellation. (wow) That would be a shame! These folks put on the BEST Autocross I've been to, I got 10 runs (before noon!!)

2) Registration is open for the upcoming June 17th "Reversecross" at VMP but signups have been light so far. If we don't get at least 40 cars pre-registered by the week beforehand, we may be forced to cancel.
Please sign up ASAP if you are even remotely interested, and tell your friends:

3) Registration is full for the Saturday 7/28 twilight kart enduro at VIR but the waiting list is open.
There are only a few spots left for the Friday 7/27 enduro so please sign up now if you want in:

4) We have started a Yahoo-based free email group to make information easier to broadcast. It is just an announcement group (not a discussion group) with 1-2 messages a month from me only (like this one, but without needing to blind-copy hundreds of addresses.) Please join the new group to keep up to date on
everything:

5) Registration for Langley Speedway on August 12th opens on June 12th here:

6) As always, these details and many other ones are linked from our series home page:

More runs is not always better. Yes I have run with NASA-MA and I was not impressed with the courses they laid out at the events I was at.

There is also a D.C. SCCA event that same weekend at Fedex Field where I will be.

My home club is also having it's 40th Anniversary Autocross that same day in NC. Over-Saturation FTL!

I suppose, but a bad day at the autocross is still better than a good day at work. On a typical 4 or 5 run day, you might get 4-5 minutes of driving. If I can up that to 10 minutes, that's better, even if the course is not optimal. (unless it REALLY sucks!)

Seems like there's alot of events that weekend for sure! I've seen postings that the WDC region's events are some of the best, and a 40th anniversary event should be a big deal too. Good luck to all who are racing that weekend!

I wish track days were this common (and cheap)...

Having to buy R'comps for the last two years I would shy away from doing more than 5 runs in a day. A friend of mine just corded a brand new Hoosier on his D Stock car after 12-15 runs.

That's it exactly. The last event we did w/ them, we shared the runs. For $45, we got reruns on the first 4 runs and many others had the same problem due to timing issues. There were no restrooms/porta-potties available on property and the final gate was so narrow that Minis and CRXs weren't able to clear it. I'd rather spend my $30 on 4 wonderful runs w/ no timing or course issues on a 60+ sec. course on a gorgeous lot against good competitors.
