nice! the only thing i dont like about that placement is that it covers up the 'dummy lights' i have to see em...i guess that makes me a dummy!

i mounted it at the base of the a-pillar (it's not attached to the a-pillar) on the dash. i mounted it when looking from the outside driver's side angle you can't see the gauge. it's an electronic 60mm boost gauge with a typical japanese gauge holder (a ring with a flat flexible base that attaches via double sided tape). fed the wires through the a-pillar down to the proper wire hookup. i personally don't like the look and the fact your blocking parital view when it's mounted on the a-pillar so i came up with the location i have now. doesn't block any outside view and isn't visible when pulling up on the driver's side. plus it looks clean. don't have pics cause it's dark out but i can take some later if you'd like.

Actually, that would be GREAT! I am wanting to do something similar to your set up. I am not wanting to one, block any of my view and two cut into my pillar. If you could post a few pics that would be great!! THANKS!

What's wrong with "the rest of us"!!!

I think the pillar is the best location to look at, and keep your eye on the road. Heck, the pillar only cost like $25, right jonboy?

Eventhought the pillar is the most common location, it does allow for ease of visibility. That's where I'd mount mine. Why get a gauge if you can't see it?

yeah the only thing mine blocks is the fuel gauge, besides that it's in perfect placement because i use it when i use my speedo and tack, so it's like looking at those, but sine it's out farther i can see it by just gloancing down, although i really do like the idea of the "under the A pillar on the dash" thing, and was planning on relocating my boost gauge anyway to coinside with another gauge i want to get, i may consider that.

Lately, it seems like I am the representative for Brad (bored132), but he works a lot, so he's not on here much to be able to post his pics himself.

Good thread. I'm looking into having mine attached "a la" WRX (i.e. like sickspeed).

Sick: How did you place it there?

it's easy, there are 3 screws underneath the the steering column, unscrew them and pop the top of the column off, then take it out of the car and drill your holes, the mounting bracket i used is by autometer and can be found in carbon fiber as well, they have them all over the web and at like every single tuning shop, i believe it's called a gauge cup or something like that, i'd take more pics but my car's at the body shop being put back together. if you're in fla i'd be glad to help. (south florida that is) just PM me

EDIT: check out this link.

Any idea where you can get a dummy plate like the one in the small pic (or do you have to fabricate a one off?) I'm really liking that.

Nice Lapis! I've only got the two pod pillar now, with just a boost gauge - not really worth taking a pic at this point! But that's nice and clean... (2thumbs)

here are mine. nothing to special at all. im not sure if i want to make it so its actually molded in or just leave it like it is now, right now they are flush with the outside of the bezel and the radio...Oil pressure guages is in the mail so thats why there is an empty hole.
