Uh..dont think this is normal...pic inside

looks like oil in my radiator fill/overflow tank....the fluid looks brownish, but upon inserting a paper towel into the fluid and pulling it out, it is indeed green. I've added water wetter about a month or so ago, but I dont think that is causing the oil looking spots. Please tell me those arent oil spots and that everything is and will be fine....(nailbyt)

Strange, i've used water wetter before, but i dont remember it looking or turning like that....probably because i added water wetter directly into the radiator in my other cars instead of the overflow/fill tanks...well, that gives me some relief...

Water Wetter will do that... I used to put it in my old car and it turned the coolant brown. Supposedly its normal...

Water wetter makes water more thermally conductive, hence allowing your radiator to work more efficiently by transferring more heat per cycle through the system.

its from the water wetter. ive seen this before. as mentioned, as long as it doesnt get thick and turn white...you are all good !

Correct :)

oil in the coolant, or coolant in the oil = disgusting sloppy brown milkshake looking sludge......

(nailbyt)Uh oh, I see part of a piston in there!!! Your motor is toast!!

J/k. Check your oil level as a precaution but I doubt you have anything to worry about.

Had a freezer plug go (not freeze popped, it just decided to pop) in an early 80's 626 I owned. After fixing it, I was pouring automatic transmission fluid (traps the oil and water) through my engine for ever to get that crap out.

Water Wetter reduces surface tension of the coolant/water mixture and allows it to carry heat away more efficiently. Supposedly, adding a drop or two of dish detergent to your coolant will do the same thing for basically FREE (and no, it will not cause your coolant to become a bubble bath). :)

How about just leave it alone?

I never heard of this and doubt its effects are enough to do much. Is there any real info out there about this stuff?

Did yall kno that if chuck norris falls in water he dosent get wet, water gets chuck norris...hahah
