U can't wear "Give Peace A Chance shirt?"

Does anyone else think there is alot more to that story then what CNN printed?

I'm sure that's not all there is too it. I hate 99% of media. The 1% I do like, I still have yet to find, but i know they're out there... :)
Most likely the guy was probably soliciting others to join him or something, kind of like a harre crishna (sp?) which is usually against any commerce establishments rules and it is their right to have people like that removed. Like the police said "We don't care what they have on their shirts, but they were asked to leave the property, and it's private property."

Should all come to realize that most news stations only report that which will get the biggest response. This often comes out the risk of not presenting the full story, based on the decision of those running the station. Often diffuclt to find truthful news stations that still report facts, and not facts twisted with their opinions.

This happened @ my local mall - just minutes from where I work.
I think that this story is the whole truth, or real close to it. All of the local radio shows and local news is covering this story and it does seem to be acurate. I have been in that mall many times since I was in grade school.....It's called CROSSGATES MALL.

They did cross a line there. The only question I wonder about is how much of a "fight" did he put up there?

Here in Virginia we have a mall; Springfield Mall. That they will ask you to leave based on what you are wearing. But you have to really being wearing something that extremely overboard. Not a shirt that says "Give peace a chance".

OH also you arent allowed to travel in groups more than 3 during the late hours.

Fun huh...

My .02 is that since the Mall is a private business, they can choose the rules for the people inside their premissis (sp?). Perhaps one of the people who runs the mall is a extreme right-wing, pro-war person and felt the need to flex his power on some person who was just exercising their right to free speech. My other thought is what's going to happen to the store(s) that sell the sells the t-shirt?

and here you have the actual explanation:

According to the documents on thesmokinggun.com, which included the police officers' reports, the two men that where arrested were stopping customers in a Macy's and telling other customers their opinions on peace and war with Iraq. As you can imagine the incidents got pretty heated and resulted in arguing and yelling. A woman who was not arguing with the men notified store security. The security officers asked the men to leave the store and they refused the officers' request, who in turn notified the police and arrested the men.

So there is more to the story then just simply wearing a t-shirt giving an opinion.
