my emails with the seller...start from the bottom...sorry.

Robert,
I find it rather hard to believe that a 01 mp3 has more value than or is equal in value to an 03 mazdaspeed protege. no one goes by excellent condition when trading. if they do, shame on them...they won't last long...the math is not there...why put clean book in a car that will probably sit for 3 months (if you're lucky) and depreciate? i didn't start in the business yesterday...and the "street racing" thing is rather offensive...and if you've ran across a few mp3's you're lucky. there may be 8 or 9 in the state of georgia. i'm not going to purchase the car, but i do frequent quite a few forums for these cars...and everyone who has seen the auction says that it's too high.

Chris,
Obviously, you have not looked at black book on them latley because the left hand book is over $10K.. I to sell Ford's but also was a dealer rep for Mazda America for 3 years I know the car very well. I do not get into the details that much because you are right about the buyer's when they were brand new, but when they are used and a lot less expensive they are much more appealing to the younger street racing crowd!!!!! We have sold a few of them to that market. Them and Civics and WRX's .....

Thank you,
Robert

hi,
i currently own a yellow mp3 and i also sell fords. just to give you a little info, mazda produced 1500 of these. 1000 in blue and 500 in yellow. you can call mazda's customer service and get the production # for the car using the VIN. that may help in your auction. And, most people who own these cars are not into the "Fast and Furious" stuff. Most of them have a good career and are very knowledgable about what this car is and it's possiblilities. frankly, they're not kids.

something you may want to add is that this car was designed by Racing Beat for mazda. it includes Tokico HP struts, Racing Beat springs, Racing beat front/rear sways, so it handles great...you should take it out on a curvy road. The racing hart wheels are actually produced by Enkei. this car has 140hp (not that much)...but it's peppy.

i think 12K is kinda high. if you have anymore than 8K in the car, you're in a little deep. just my opinion. i hope this info helps you sell it!

Did yall see that it sold for 12,000. WOW crazy stuff!

I was watching that one. Had low miles though, looked like it was in good shape too. I did think that 12k was a little high, but probably worth it if it was in that good of shape.
