I was looking at the new TWM shifter that has bearings in it. is this any better than like the kartboy, and does it still need bushings? I can get it or a whole kartboy package for about the same price, but I like the idea of having heat shield spacers with the TWM kit. Inputs?

honestly i would save your money for the B&M or Kartboy...with the B&M i didnt have to do s*** to my heat shield

I have the twm shifter, you don't need anything from your current setup, heatshield modification is just 2 fat washers. I like it, I'd recommend it, then again, I don't really swap shifters too often =)

yea everyone is partial to the shifter they have :-)

yeah :) i'm really partial to the Kartboy one :p

i'm not sure what the bearings do on the other shifter. since the stock urethane ones are so think you wont gain anything with a bronze or whatever material is hot setup this week.

the shifter bushings on the other hand make a huge difference. they are almost 1.5 inches in diameter.

for the heatshield mod
we had a S&M shifter in our car for two days. it bound pretty bad.
we just have the customer bend the heatshield down a touch. its really easy and thin metal.

happy shifting
