Turtle Wax ICE vs Tree Sap

:
Mazda 6i Charcoal Grey
Spring is finally hitting Germany, and washed the car today and found spots of damn tree sap on my roof and back hatch. (HAVE TO QUIT PARKING UNDER TREES) Busted out the Turtle Wax ICE. AND HOLY CRAP is this stuff great!got rid of it in a couple buffs and a bit of work scraping it away. I know there are other threads about this product out there, but I swear by this stuff. Anyways. I love seeing the jaws drop on the Germans when they see the car coming.

PIIIIICS!!!!!!! My car got super cleaned the other week and now its back to crap so i need another good looking speed3 to get my interest in cleaning my car again!

the ICE line of products is great. i was hooked instantly after using the Liquid Polish; it requires only a tiny amount and goes on very quickly and easily. what i like especially is that instead of avoiding plastics and such it goes on them too and makes them look factory-new. i also tried ICE Total Interior and it works awesome; no shine or residue, and smells nice and unique. Soon i'll be trying the ICE clay bar kit.

all of these products may apply on easily and look stunning but at the end of the day you have to understand that most of these over the counter products give you rats ass worth of actual paint protection. these ice waxes or whatever will surely make your car look WET but the fact is that after about 2 weeks the protection is gone. now if you're only going for looks and could care less about your paint then by all means, continue to pump the funds into the ICE line but if you're about the real deal, protecting your paint while making your car look EVEN better than these over the counter products, you guys should really head over to autopia.org and get schooled in the art of car detailing/paint maintenance. the worst part i think is that the majority of people probably don't even use the basics of paint maintenance which is double bucket car washing. sorry for this little rant, and double sorry for not having a single indentation.

NON BELIEVER!!! BLASPHEMY!!!!!! LOL jk i'll put some pics up soon. and of what i have left of the damn tree sap.

I have had great results with the ICE products, but i also agree that for a good base coat of wax maguires is def. the way to go and ice for short term touchups between the bi-anual waxes.

I did a comparison on my hood. 1/3 with Ice liquid, 1/3 with ice paste, 1/3 with NXT. Ice liquid lasted the longest.

try colonite. it will never leave your paint. i used it and it lasted a whole year. beaded water even when i had a thick coat of dirt. s**** crazy

looks sweet. lets hope it holds up to the weather conditions. let us know futher down the road how it holds up. niiiice looking though
