TurboHoses SMIC- **********.com (Updates)

The first prototype of TurboHoses SMIC is finished. To make this SMIC, the ENTIRE intercooler has to be made from raw materials. Each endcap is custom, meaning each wall of the endcap has to be measured, cut, and welded seperately. There is no universal endcaps we can use.

The brackets, same deal, takes very long to construct them from scratch. There are no "L" brackets to slap on there that could save us some time. Overall, it is very time consuming unit to make which is the reason we would be looking at it costing more than other SMIC's.

To cut costs and not quality, the brackets are being reconstructed to save on labor costs. We are looking at around $595 MSRP for the new SMIC. Once the new one is finished, it will be test and tested some more to see the gains.

I have a good feeling about this SMIC, but I cannot vouch for it until I get one into this MAZDASPEED to test for myself (very soon).

Im a little confused
Circuit Sports SMIC is $629 last time I checked, and the MSRP your giving is lower than Circuit Sports. Is that MSRP a Ballpark figure or is it set in stone

We will release the results after we test it.

Our original SMIC used exact OEM reconstructed brackets which drove costs up quite a bit. The new design has brackets that will be easier to make which lowers the price, projected MSRP $585.

Dr. Sound, I need another week or so to gather costs on this new model. I will post as soon as I get a handle on it. I also need to find out how many want in on a GB.

I would definitely be in for a group buy. All I need is a time table on when it might be ready. Also, will you offer the hard pipes at a discounted price?

It would be the funniest thing if this unit had close to the same temperature drop (cooling effect) as the FMICs out there and of course less pressure drop(wink)

Funny, but not probable ;)

The GB will offer, the SMIC, Pipes, intake, and possibly the exhaust...

$ 2 Gs is how much I am going to have to blow around mid-august, and I want the SMIC, turbo-back, Greddy TT, and a wideband 02. I might be a bit short, but I'm hoping I can swing it.

Cullen,
Will you be able to have an extra 02 bung in the turbo-back? No big deal if not, but it would be easier for it to come that way.
