Turbo XS Hybrid BOV Owners

When I put 4 washers in I noticed a difference. I noticed it only a little when i put 1 and then 2 in. Three washers worked well but 4 I think is perfect. Maybe I will try one more for the hell of it.

Mr.Jake, I think the cusotmer service a Turbo XS is excellent. I am waiting on there intake. Its a SRI which I dont have a problem with. The only time I had a cold air intake on a turbo car was on my MSP. I then changed it to a SRI when I put the FMIC on that car. Never had any issues. The price of the SRI shold be cheaper than the CAI as well. I wil let you know if I try 5 washers.

Sweet, I haave a SRI that I am not using any more for the speed3. I didnt want to hassel with warrenty issues so I bought the mazdaspeed CAI at dealer cost cause my buddie works for a mazda dealer ship. If you are intrested pm me and I can send you pictures of it. 5 Washers...I am curious to see how that will work. Keep us informed thanks Hypnotized.

noob question --

the only turbo I've ever driven before my ms3 was a diesel ambulance

I just got my turbo xs hybrid bov and I'm noticing a little whistle when I rev it up. am I hearing the turbo spool or a boost leak??

If you didn't put in any washers your probably leaking boost. That was my problem too. Put in 4 washers and watch how much more responsive the car is. (headbang)

I have tried zero washers all the way to six, the only difference you can tell is in 6th gear going 50-60mph floor it and you will stumble with 5 or 6 washers, i have no boost gauge so i have no idea what it reads but i doubt it makes any difference other than stumbling in a high vacuum setting (6th gear in lower rpms)

Never run 60 in 6th. All that I can say is that it feels more responsive with 4 than it did at 0-3. Have you called turbo xs and asked them what the best settings would be? I know someone did and they recommended 4.

Whats wrong with running 60 mph in 6th gear? a lot of roads around here are nice and flat w/ speed limit of 55. So I tend to put it in 6th just for better gas mileage

Its your car man... Do you... I thought I remembered reading something where it wasn't good to run a car out of gear. If it was an 6 speed automatic it would probably be in 4-5 gear at that speed. Call Turbo XS and see whats best or continue with what you have.

i like how everyone is an expert on cars, never run your car in 6th gear at 60 mph? kid , stop reading tuner mags and go to tech school or something. on the street if I am just driving normal I am in 6th by 40 mph. I was commenting on the xs valve only and what I experienced with changing the washers. If your car starts "trembling " because you are in the wrong gear thats one thing but on a flat road at 1500 rpms there is nothing wrong with being in 6th.(this wasn't about tips on what gears to be in to pass other cars quickly on the fwy, it was about my observations on the effects of changing washers only)
