unwrittenLaw said:Well I brought my Blitz to the guy at that shop and when he opened it up and looked at the instructions, he didn't feel confident in installing it, (i even brought up some of the how to guides from this sight on his computer for reference, but he still didnt really want to try it) so now I'm stuck with a Blitz and no one to hook it up..I went to a couple other places, and nobody has knowledge of this stuff to do it for me.
The guy said he could hook up the timer part, but he didnt want to mess with the boost gauge stuff/rpm wires (or something like that), but I didn't want to have a half-ass installation..so I guess I'll have to find someone that can install the whole thing, not just certain features...kinda sucks![]()

I did my Blitz TT install with a friend who is a mechanic. At first; we chose the 'wrong' blue wire on the ignition. Everything appeared okay, but the engine wasn't staying on as the TT counted down. Yesterday; we found the 'correct' blue wire, and all is good, now. We still don't have it wired so you can lock the doors while the TT is counting down, but if anyone would like to indicate the correct 'Keysense' wire, then we will also make that happen. I need to get back over to that thread, and PM the member that mentioned doing that.
Make sure when you have your Blitz installed, they also run that 'purple' wire to your emergency brake wire. That way, if the brake is released while the TT is counting down, the engine will shut off, rendering the car completely immobile. We simply popped the console section on top of the emergency brake and tied into that wire you see there.
We used 3M Quick Connects (part #03826NA) for everything, by the way. The package contains 3 different sizes. The larger (yellow) ones are what you will use. I don't remember if we used the others except for when we tied into the emergency brake, or not. That is a smaller wire. Using these, no wires were cut. They are available at AutoZone, and probably about anywhere electrical supplies are sold. We used these rather than soldering, since he had great results in his other electrical projects. Very clean.
