Turbo Timer and Door Locks

I will be getting my turbo timer this week(hopefully with the turbo and all) and today I was thinking about the remote door locks while the car is running. The remote will not work the door locks while it is running. Is there a way around this.

Damn, I just thought of something.
I tried it while the key was still in the ignition, will it work when the key is removed from the ignition, but while the car is running.

I just push the switch on the drivers door (that locks all the doors) while I get out, before I shut the door. It doesnt set the alarm but it locks the doors.

You can't have the factory alarm enabled with a turbo timer. You have to get another alarm and make sure that it will work.
I personally opted to go with the Compustar. It has a built in 2 min turbo timer. I love it. It is one of the best mods I will ever do to this car!
Depending on whether or not you have an automatic or a manual transmission is really whether you will need to spend the extra dough to get a Compustar.
Also depending on how much money you have invested in you car. Factory alarms just aren't worth it! It is always better to upgrade.

Where did you get the compustar alarm for your car?

I went to an authorized dealer and got it installed. Ebay has them up but be very wary as my husband got burned on one. It was pieced together and sold to him as a spread spectrum but in reality it was not. It was a first gen FM and the computer was fried. You can go to the Compustar website and call them to find a dealer in your area.

I am not too concerned with the alarm, actully, I didn't know any P5's came with factory alarms. I just want my keyless entry to work while the car is still running. I live on an Air Force base, so crime is just about at the level of "it doesn't happen". So I don't need an alarm.
