could b a broken oil feed line in the back of engine as far as the knock i'd say engine is toast from running it with no oil.. u can pull the oil pan and mbsp and check the bearings and crank and if jesus is with u the crank will not have any grooves and the rod bearing and main bearings will still b in place but worn.. u can replace the bearings and only the bearings if the journals on the crank are still smooth with NO SCORE MARKS T ALL or lines u can feel with ur finger nail.
