Turbo has Oil from some leak on it

Hi everyone, my car has almost done 50k and i noticed the other day that my turbo was covered with oil. There is some leak maybe.

Does anyone know what this could be, please? Thanks!!

Alot of people have this problem.I bought a gasket from here: http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/gt_series_oil_return_gasket/default.asp? when I replaced the turbo and, It's not leaking so far....

ok, thanks. I spoke to a tuner and he mentioned that turbo's tend to leak oil like this after 75k of driving, but mine is only 50k and it didn't seem normal to have the turbo covered in oil this soon. But, i will be taking the car to the dealer on wednesday and will keep everyone updated.

I could probably get the gasket if nothings wrong with the turbo, but, i was hoping that i get a new turbo under warrenty!! Now since you mention it could only be a gasket, my excitement about a new turbo isn't as much anymore! lol

They said they wouldn't cover it under warranty, but they checked the turbo and said it is nothing to worry about? they cleaned it up and i'm just going to keep an eye on it.

by the way, does anyone know why Mental Addiction Motorsport doesn't reply to any emails? i've ordered something from them and they haven't been able to confirm a shipping date or a tracking number for me and don't reply to my emails either? I'm kind of concerned as i've never dealt with them before and they don't even have a phone number? Does anyone have any information on them? Thanks!!

Well MAM is in the middle of moving from pheonix to salt lake city. As a result the phone company screwed something up and there lines are down (a tech was suposed to be out there yesterday) and there email is down as well. Your best bet is to PM Mental Addition.

On the top right of the page under where it says 'Welcome, slowmotionmsp', hit the link that says 'Private Messages'. On the page it takes you to, on the left side of the page, look for 'Send Message'. In the Receipent box, type 'Mental Addiction'. Type a subject, and your message, then hit send. What did you order if you dont mind me asking. If it was the TB then there was a problem with the fittament of the butterflies and it has to be redone so it will take some more time. You know Mental addiction sponsors there own forum here. just click forum index at the top and they are the first one in the main sponsors section. there is tons of company and car info there.

Hey, by the way, coming back to the turbo question I had earlier about it being covered by oil. The dealers checked it and said that the turbo was fine and operating normal. Do you think they were just trying to avoid fixing it? It hasn't leaked any since they cleaned it, and it's been two days now. Should i still be worried that my turbo needs to be replaced or looked at for further repairs at this point?? does anyone know how much do the stock turbos would cost to replace, please? Thanks!
