turbo for p5 whats the best brand?

MAM has great kits out there ...
i personally like Juans work. again he is the only one i have dealt with. His kit on the P5 has also proven to put out a lot of power. just depends who you wanna deal with. both Juan and Beau are good people

Beau, you know how much I respect you, but PLEASE tell this jerkoff to cut this s*** out. I know he's not your responsibility and I'm not blaming you in any way, but you're doing business with him and know him personally, so I am hoping he'll listen to you since he doesn't listen to me.

65racecoupe, **** off dude. This is far from the 1st thread where you have bashed the WOMP, clearly knowing nothing aobut it. I'm not even going to get into details and try to explain it to you, but it just pisses me off that right when we arre getting to the point where the WOMP is finally getting some respect form the community at large and the drama has stopped, you have to make an ignorant comment like this.

You are an idiot, and all you ever contribute to this forum is "I will have Sleeper. I will have 300 wheel horse power. I will have daily driver." So just keep your comments to yourself from now on, please!

Engine Management is the Key for reliable power, A supercharger or turbocharger alone with the stock ECU for anything over 180whp will give you headaches. I have managed to run 230whp daily on stock ecu but on the long run anything can fail, I have blown 2 engines due to rod failure.

Same day I raced a modded STI 2 stock rods failed in the 4th run...

Any turbo kit can do 250hp but for over 300 you will need better parts and the right combination to keep it reliable.

I am not bashing the WOMP. I don't even have room to bash them.

He said that he wanted to run with an STi. He needs some power to do that, power somewhere in the range of the said STi. A WOMP has yet to get there, I don't know if it will, I don't know if it won't.

A sleeper kit on a built engine is a reliable, proven way to get there.

I didn't mean to offend you. :'(

Also, before you go shooting your mouth off acting like a child, please find all threads where I bashed the WOMP supercharger kit. Find ONE where I bashed it. (Suggesting a turbo over the WOMP is not bashing. Asking questions about the AC or about the power was never meant to bash.)

If you find one, I will shut the hell up.

I am not bragging about the car that I have, I am just speaking from my project.

Adios. (rockon)

What are your engine specs right now?

Damn, 2 engines (flame)

so how much does a built engine run? If I have to go with a complete built engine i might as well go afew hundred dollars more and get the thumper kit... then again, i see what you mean how the sleeper would be more reliable for daily driving... i dont know, im sure when the time comes i'll figure out what i need

That's not bashing? If that is not the definition of bashing, I don't know what is. You're saying that "he won't come CLOSE to running with an STi with a supercharger" and I'm assuming you mean he will with a turbo? Tell ya what, when we both have our "daily drivers" finished, both with built motors, both with full engine management, etc., we can go to the track and run against a few STi's and see who does better.

Just dont talk about something you don't know about, it's that simple.

I dont think that u need more than 200WHP to be able to run with an STI,

let alone 300hp. Unless he is running from a stop, with a 200whp Protege

should be running side to side if not BEATING up on the suby. s*** i was

hangin with a friends evo when it was stock with my 170whp.:)

my car made 195whp and i beat the sti..... u just gotta know how to drive

True that, I had 224whp when I raced one and I beat him easy, but against an M3 it was a different story he pulled half car ahead and I was 1 car in front on him, so those are fast!

Did you guys go from a roll or not?

Yes, M3s are nice. I drove a 325 a few weeks back and that thing was VERY quick compared to what I thought it would be. I would love to drive a much faster M3 or M5.

I had the 325 XI but it was automatic, the handling was soo good and it was a really good drive for the winter.

okay im a strong believer in the whole concept of, a good driver doesnt need much HP to beat a faster car, but when your comparing 195hp to 300hp i start to lose faith. he must have been a horible driver! lol

Well it's 195 whp, and the STi with all that AWD drivetrain loss probably has 240-250 whp, plus it weighs a lot more, and those AWD systems are not friendly to racing from a roll, so i dunno.

he was actually a good driver, the car ran good that night and im not saying im the best driver but im pretty good. the 300crank to my probably 230crank then add in the 3200lbs sti to my 2500lbs wagon. u do the math

i guess that makes sence, its just so hard to belive cuz the STI was built for racing, its like the fastest car you'll get for a cheap price, so if i were to be rolling in a Carerra 4, would that beat the STI, they both have AWD, they both have 300hp, but i think the porsche has a better chance, right?

i have a C4 that thing is a rocket! but i've never driven an STI yet so i wouldn't be able to make the call, but i feel lik ethe STI is much lighter?

Nah, The Srt4 is the best bang for the buck if you want a fast car.
