Well guys, if you have an auto with boost or plan to run boost, you better order a rebuild kit from level 10 with a new convertor.

My tranny slipped at times while back at just 8 psi. It was not bad if you didnt roast them off a red light, and in 3rd and 4th was just awesome.

Needless to say, I have not been hot rodding it on redlights, only been getting on it in 3rd and 4th seemed pretty smooth too.

only 2 months and 2 passes at the track today came up as a bummer for me.

Every gear today decided to slip. AT light decides to come on. Sport siftronics decides to not work and the dummy 2nd full time gear took over. There is play, needless to say I blew my tranny today with out getting on it. It will sit until I get a hold of level 10 and have someone rebuild my tranny.

Unless you think I can swap a manual MSP tranny in it. How hard would it be to put in the manual shift linkage and clutch?

Anyways, very very bummer of a day. Looks like I will be taking off work for a week. :(

wow..Im really sorry to hear that, I guess the cutoff point for the automatic ttranny must be lower (in terms of PSI)

I believe the recommended maximum boost for p5's automatic tranny is 4-5psi.

Anywho, best of luck "deckedoutmp5".

hmmm... maybe I should nix the whole turbo idea now.
I really don't feel like dumping $ into my tranny as well as a turbo kit.

yeah, for the auto trannies, spool only recommends their stage one kit with 4-5 psi boost. i wonder if flying protege has their boost turned down for the automatic tranny. they run theirs at 6. hmmm... guess i'm staying NA.

brother....sorry to hear.....what time line are you looking at to rebuild the tranny? Do you have another car to get you around?

When you do get everything back in order...your tranny will be ready for future ventures with the darkside.

this is my daily driver, my jeep is in pieces being put together (but its only for rock crawling comps so its not legal) so i will just have to take some vacation and hitch a ride to work.

as for the tranny, i knew i was goin to have to do the level 10 build the day i bought the turbo but thought it would last longer then it did.

the rebuild kit is good to 750 whp, since i am only putting down 250 (the thing is, now that i can actaully put all the hp to the ground, i hope i dont snap an axle) this should last me a long time.

i will be saving for the actaull 3200 dollar level 10 tranny. because it will have new pitons rods full stand alone and well i hope to be pushing 400 hp and i will not take another chance.

thanks for all the "that sucks" indeed it does. :(
