OK, I am a noob to tuning and I get easily confused reading alot of you all's posts about tuning and the different maps Cobb has for the AP. I am wanting some guidance on which maps I should be looking into for a tune. I will provide a list of my planned mods and what I have already and let you guys determine my best solution. I want something I can plug in and download something, upload it to the car and go with it. We don't have any tuners in our area and I sure as hell can't do it by myself. I don't know if CP-E standback would work good for me or if I should stick with the Cobb ap? Anyways, onto my list of mods:

Mods so far
-Injen CAI
-Type S BOV
-Street Unit Boost Tubes
-Stock exhaust mod
-Boost Gauge

Mods to come (this list will NOT change, this is the parts I want and set in stone. I do not plan to go past these list of mods)
-Cobb Catted D/P
-HKS Catback
-Corksport Front Mount IC
-Switching my type s to VTA setup with this intercooler
-Cobb AP
-Medieval motor mount ( i know this don't count, but its part of my performance upgrades, so why not)

That's my full list. Don't want to push the limits of this car, I am making it a nice mix of a good handling, performing and a jaw dropping looking car, the perfect balance. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Tuning is easy...if I can figure it out...anyone can...

It's just a little intimidating when you are unfamiliar with it.

have you thought about the mazda3mods fmic. there is a group buy going on for it at the moment. you should check it out.

guys, didn't make this to list my mods, Im trying to find a map suitable for the Cobb AP with my given mods. Thats all.

Shifter is great, favorite upgrade other than springs so far.

The simple answer is: You have a very eclectic combination of mods planned and you will be best suited with a custom tune that only a few vendors across the country can do right now with the accessport. In the coming months there will be an official release of the custom tuning software and you'll be fine. You go, get your mods, strap onto a dyno and pay someone to tune you.

that sounds great Doc, all I really needed to hear. We have some good quality tuners here in Roanoke where my parents live, so I will just have to come here and find one of these guys to do it. But also, it will probably be spring before I get all my listed mods, so maybe they will have a map out by then?? Do they have a tentative ETA on when its going to be released??
