2014 Mazda 6
Just purchased my 2014 Mazda 6 Touring 2 days ago. So far, I think the car is great. I would like to find out how to add Sirius to my car in the most aesthetic way possible. Does the grand touring really offer a totally different receiver or is there a way to modify what I have to have the same capabilities as the grand touring? I already have a subscription to Sirius and was using a an external receiver with an fm modulator on my previous vehicle. I was just hoping to keep the Sirius but have it look "cleaner." Any help would be appreciated.

I was curious about this as well. Didn't see Sirius listed as an option anywhere (was pretty much set on CX-5, now thinking 6 is better choice for us). I live in a rural area and would go crazy without NFL station and other sports channels.

After you pair your phone w the Bluetooth, download the Sirius App . For $4/mo, you can stream Sirius thru your Mazda's speaker system .

The problem with using the phone app (I did this for a while) is that you are limited to phone service areas, whereas the Sirius unit receives its signal anywhere satellite is available (which is pretty much everywhere in North America as far as I know). I got rid of the phone app because it died about the same time good radio and phone reception died. The Sirius unit takes care of the reception problem by receiving anywhere a built in unit can. The phone app is neat, but kind of limited in what it can do without a full time internet service.

Just a thought for what its worth.
