Trouble with my 2014 Mazda6 Touring

I love this car, everything about, a joy to drive....i took it in last Saturday to have the side and back windows tinted. Cary, NC is about 25 miles from my house. Wife and i had taken both vehicles so we took the van and did some shopping and Starbucks. Go back and pick up the car....looks great, carbon black tint, not too dark. Within five miles of the shop and now on the freeway...trouble. First an alert popped up on the info readout that the smart city brake assist needed inspection....ok, not sure why, the car is running fine, then the master alert symbol lit up, followed by the check engine light....still the car is running fine on the freeway. I am in a little bit of shock as the car has been awesome with no hiccups at all and 3400 miles on the clock. I look up and i am, get this, less than a mile from the exit where i bought the car!!! The wife is in the lane next to me and i honk as i go off the freeway and head straight for the dealer. The dealership is no more than a mile from the exit. Now i notice the car is acting a bit weird, stumbling a bit, i am nervous...i pull into the dealership and to make a long story short, they give me a 2013 mazda3 loaner as they can't contact Mazda and they are already maxed out for the day. They did manage to check the codes, but were not entirely clear on what was possibly amiss with my car. Monday afternoon i get the call and they are confident its the airflow sensor. They won't have the part till Wed. and i will be back in business same day. I hope they are right!!
I will follow up on it when i get the car back. Has it rattled my faith in Mazda??? I had a 2009 mazda5 from mile 1 to 63,000 with no issues at all......I ordered the mazda foglamp kit jfor it yesterday...things happen.i just can't be too upset about the situation when it failed two miles from the dealer. Oh, and the dealer is about twenty miles from my house! To be continued....

I'd question what happened at the tint shop. Did you note the mileage before and after the pickup? Sounds like they had a wild test drive, damaged something, and then reset the warning light right before delivery.

i agree with ryang. i always hate dropping my car off places and leaving the keys. hope it works out and keep us posted

Ok, i got the car back...they didn't have a real definite reason why it happened...here is part of the invoice summary:found codes Uo401,U0415, Uo442, P061B. Freeze Frame Data showsOG/Sreading from the airflow sensor at cruising rpm, network test and all systems passed. Monitored MAF input to the pcm while driving and could not duplicate loss of signal that was present in freeze frame data. Sent diagnostic info to mazda technical. After verifying proper terminal connections of the pcm and tcm connectors, mass airflow sensor replaced for suspected intermittent failure. Test drove extensively with no further problems or diagnostic trouble codes noted. Dealer had put 35 miles on the car...i have drove another 40 or so with no issues...Great to have the car back, looks like the problem is gone...
