Tricky bov question

A friend of mine asked me something I can't answer: will a turboXS RFL Type H work on a msp? I told him I never heard of any msp owner that had it on his car... but still any impressions/opinions about installing it?

Cusson (my friend) says thanks for your answers.

Yes and no. Since we have a MAF it needs to recirculate. Unless you run the Dual setup (BPV & BOV) then it will work with no quirks. The RFL is made for 10-25psi so its not going to be extremely loud till you run some psi through it.

This is pending you have hard pipes and get the adapters installed of course.

He has a swapped P5 (msp engine) with iON FMIC, AEM CAI, 2.5" hi-flow exhaust (soon to come), colder plugs, etc... he just needs a boost up.

And of course, I already told him that recirculation is a must.

Yea if u use the BPV (oem or non) you can use the RFL. 8-9 is fine. The RFL is louder with more psi u use. It will still sound loud.

i think discreetspeed has this bov actually. so yeah you can definitely use it. just need the right flanges, hoses, etc.

no clue. last time i saw discreet's car, it wasn't running well so he never got on it. i've seen videos of it though....it doesn't sound all THAT loud.

its not going to be loud untill about 14psi, then its pretty damn loud. its notmeant for under 10 psi to warrant its title as RFL

yes discreetspeed runs with the rfl and it sounds great! but he also has a t3/t4 turbo with a good amount of boost so its a lil different. it is loud on his car though.

I have the perrin fmic with the hks ssqv. I dont have any stalling problems, mine just dumps right into the engine bay no dual setup needed.

thats not true for everyone. i had a ssqv and mine did stall. every time. so theres something between setups.
