Has anyone treated the plastic (DASH,etc...) or leather (SEATS), yet? If so what do you guys recommend? I am looking for protection for the dash... BUT WITHOUT high gloss, because of the glare.

Aerospace 303 protectant it the best I have found. I has no silicones and yields minimal gloss. Also has the best UV protection in the business. It is available online (including free sample) or at many RV parts stores, or Spa stores to protect covers.

Which 303 product? Is it safe for the dash AND leather ??

It is called "303 Aerospace Protectant." You can find it at http://www.autogeek.net/303aerprot.html.

I haven't used it personally, but I just bought some for my CX-7 since it appears to be the consensus best. It says it can be used on vinyl, leather, plastic, trim, tires, moldings, etc. However, I bought some Zaino Z-10 Leather in a Bottle for my CX-7 leather - it is supposed to be top-notch for leather, but I haven't used it yet.

Yea, I normally use Armor All and with this car I don't want the shine and did not find anything at the local auto parts store. If anyone gets it, let us know how it works out. Thanks!

Wendy,
I have been using this for over 3 years since I got my RX-8. Works great on the dash and door panels, (removes those white scuff marks) without adding much sheen at all. IMO it just brings the surfaces back to like new condition. No greasey feeling, just a great look. Go here for free? samples. http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=freesample If you need pictures of dash let me know.

Cool, Thanks Craig!! I used the Armor All on my 8 and didn't mind the sheen on that one but this one is different. Gotta get me some!

Alright, I finally used both the 303 Aerospace Protectant and the Zaino Leather in a Bottle:

303 Aerospace Protectant: This stuff is fantastic. It is definitely as advertised - a satin low/no-gloss finish that leaves the plastic looking brand new, but not greasy. The only difficult part is that it is tough to see where you've wiped on the textured dash in the CX-7 (ie, the "football leather" bumpy plastic). I did it on a cloudy day though - it might be easier to see where you've cleaned when the sun is out.

Zaino Leather in a Bottle: This stuff is fabulous as well. I didn't realize how dull and dry the seats were until I put it on. It makes them look a lot more rich, but just like the 303 protectant it doesn't leave a cheap glossy finish. I'm anxious to see how well it softens the leather after a couple applications.

Also, another product that I recent bought is Plexus. It is a plastic protectant. It supposedly guards against scratching and dulling - basically, it is a "wax" for plastic. I figure it is a must for that piano black finish on the stereo.

I spoke with someone at the 303 company, and he said it was PH balance & OK to use on the leather. He recommended applying it by hand, then wiping off with old soft t-shirts.
