Transmission Issues.. (with videos)

my car has 3rd gear pop out...if i lazy shift it or am not paying attention and i think i got it into third, sometimes the second i hit the gas it pops back into 3rd

i read someones post about how to fix it, i just havent gotten around to it

CEL is from not having an air intake temp sensor. The battery light has been on, but I've had the battery and alt checked and both were fine.. new clutch and flywheel in the tranny.. new engine just put in, so it's been on the road for about a week now. Also added the FMIC which may be part of the stalling.

I know its a tad bit off topic but with your battery light its because your IAT sensor isn't in. once you put it in I am about 99.9% positive your battery light will turn off and CEL with be gone after clearing the codes unless of course your have more than that code.....you will also notice a bit more pep in your step when you get on the throttle because the IAT is plugged in.

Thanks for that info :D I was wondering about that.

Did you check your tranny fluid when filling it, or after a few miles? It all drains out, but then you need to drive the car to pump some (almost a quart!) over to the 5th gear side, so try checking it again. Remember, it should come out the top fill plug hole. What fluid are you using? I'd go Redline MT-90 for you.

Actually, my tranny makes the same noise while driving. Just not as loud. I noticed this after I installed the SLS front and side mounts. I thought it was just transmission whine. But not too long before the mounts went in, my tranny was replaced by Mazda just because of a bad throw out bearing. It was cheaper apparently. But now that I have the stock mounts back in (see my post in SLS reviews for the info) I still notice the whine.

Yup, the MAF cel went away after resetting everything. I took my car to a tranny shop, he said to get the fluid changed and see if that helped, it was a bearing sound. I do have AWR front/rear mounts, but didn't notice anything until a while after driving it. Going today to get the fluid changed, hopefully that's the only issue.

It cost me $4000 to make my tranny have that cool sound!

Did you get your MAF issue figured out?

I'm sorry I cannot be more help, but all I can say is that is not a normal sound. Motor mounts may transmit a little more road noise and vibes but that
whinning wouldn't be amplified by MM's. It's gotta be a tranny issue. Doubt a tranny flush will fix it, unless it was just low on fluid.
