Tranny? Gas guage?

Hey guys, the other day I got down to about a quarter tank of gas and the car started acting like it was out of gas. I pulled into a gas station and I had no power, the car was chugging quite bad and the check engine light flashed for a second. I filled up and now it's fine...anyone had similar problems?

I also got 15mpg on the last tank which is absolutely ridiculous....

I have a 06 3.0

How many miles on your 3.0? Could be a fuel filter issue.

It only has 33K miles on it....

I thought about that too but I don't think that it would only do it around a quarter tank. The dealer I bought it from drove it for a week and he told me that this was happening (he's a good friend of mine) so I need to take it in...but I just wonder what it may be.

I was also getting on the freeway a couple days ago and I stepped on the gas around 50mph and it felt like the car didn't know what gear to go into. It hesitated pretty bad. I've never had a car that had to think so much about it...it's not right. I guess I have to make an appt at the dlr.
