I'm with Autox MSP on this one, Dexs comments were way out of line for a Moderator.

He is completely entitled to his opinion on this without being attack by the staff for it. He said nothing to provoke this response.

^^ of course, what's not to like??...

ps "your crazy your crazy man" reminded me of Old School, when Will Farrell got shot in the neck with the tranq gun! That is exactly what he says! (maybe you were trying to say that i dunno)...

I WAS... but...LETS MAKE IT OFFICAL LETS MAKE IT OFFICAL JACKASS

mazdaspeed owns u! Everyone I take for a car loves my car way more than I do, but whatever its all good. No car is perfect.. Don't let the hype get to you.

Think about from this point of view... I got my speed for $15700 brand new, 22 miles on it. Sti and the SRT-4 are another $10k-15k more than a MSP. The MSP is already turbo'd, handles great and looks pretty good, and with some mods to loosen up the restrictions, it can run 13s in the 1/4 mile.

It could be worse. We could be driving a pinto:wtf: ...so be thankful for what you got. (apologizes to all the pinto drivers out there). Thats just my thoughts.... Slam it down

I know what this thread needs!!!

I LOVE MY MSP!!!

(yippy) (yippy) (mspo) (2thumbs) (first) (nana) (drive)

How's that? Feeling better now? I know I am! :D

********** -- where have you seen a srt-4 for 26k??? even the brand new 2004 models arent that much, and for a msp to run 13's you goto do more then loosen up restrictions...

SR-T is $22K sticker right? plus TTT comes out to atleast $25k. No rebates and usually want more than sticker...
Get a Turbo back exhaust, boost 10lbs, CAI, BOV, and hardpiping w/ a FMIC if you got $1000 sitting around. You'll be surprised what it will run. I will let you know what it runs when its finished. Now back on topic...

acctualy people are only paying around 21k out the door for their 2004, according to a bunch of people on srtforums, but yes this is off topic my bad

Thats not a bad price, but still a difference of $5k. $5000 into a MSP and its way past a Neon. Slam it down...(drinks)

mp5jeff...Nice ride. You are working against yourself going turbo with that huge box in the back. Much props though...

I have had quality issues with several different manufacturers over the years (GM/Nissan/Toyota) so the stuff with the MSP doesnt faze me, I've dealt with much worse. I guess some MSP owners are having some serious problems where mine have been minor ( stumble/clunk/small coolant leak). Overall I love the car and enjoy driving it immensly. I test drove the WRX and for the extra dollars it wasnt worth it. I personaly dont like the look of the EVO at all. Looks like some thing a teenager would design. (just my opinion folks) So based on the fact that I loved my P5 I had no probs sliding into a MSP. If I'm not mistaken, the Protege has a very high rating for reliability and customer satisfaction. Ours are a little more quirky because of the mods. But overall for the money, there's nothing else I would drive. :)

i never said i hated the msp. I just said its not the car for me, I don't feel comfortable driving it.

i purchased my MSP because i fell in luv with it after a test drive.
i saw all these articles in mags about how it was "the first in a line of MAZDASPEED products."
i paid 21,000 for it.
i haven't seen any performance products for it, at least not from the factory.
after seeing these rebates, i feel that i paid too much for it.
i still luv to drive it, though.
having owned tuned cars all my life, there is gonna be some good with the bad. that's the nature of the beast.
all these things considered, i would still buy the car, just not for 21000

Sell the car in Canada. The depreciation up here isn't so bad apparently.

that being said, I can honestly say that when i was trying to sell the MP3 I ran into a slew of problems. Every Honda I've had, I've sold them within days of deciding too. The MP3 I had for sale for months only to trade it in.

1. Nobody new what is was.
2. Most people assumed it was just a normal protege with some wheels and a different spoiler.
3. Because of 1/2 when they seen the price, they never asked why so high...they just moved on.
4. Every dick smack tuner wanna be, wants a damn civic.
5. I had tons of people wanting it...but unfortunately the target audience that wants a car like this....the majority are very young, and cannot afford it unless mommy and daddy are rich.
6. My mp3 was 25k Canadian new, and the MSP was selling for 26,995 for the orange, and 27500 for the 2003.5, and to make things worse, the other used speed in town was for sale at the same time for 24, when I originally was asking 21...then I kept going down and down, and still couldn't sell it. The orange one is also still for sale almost 6 months later.

I would NOT be driving this speed is I was not presented with the deal I got from my. My dealer was awesome, knew I was pissed about the clunk never being resolved, and I got a sweet deal on the speed. Otherwise, I would be driving something else...probably a Honda or Acura.

Next time around, probably when the Mazdaspeed 3 comes out, assuming it does, I'm not sure what will happen. All depends on what I get for trade in as well. And I have no intention of losing my shirt every 2-3 years. At least I lease, which reduces some of the money I could potentially lose.

Sry to hear about this man- but it sounds almost like they quoted you kbb on an es model- my stock es books for trade @ $10,200- on a 2k2- and trust me, I wish I had bought the speed instead- cause when I got mine I paid way to much, before the speed came out- I am still about 4k upside down on it for trade, and 3k for private sale...
