TPWS issues 2010 3 gt

Hey there. I'm new here and proud to say I'm a owner of a Velocity Red Mazda 3 GT. I just got the car 4 days ago and tonight when I went to run to the store, immediately after putting my car in reverse the tire pressure light came on. It freaked me out so I drove to the closest gas station and checked my tire pressures. Well... the gauge was obviously broken but they all read the exact same on this gauge. So I did my shopping thinking the light may turn off and it didn't. Still on for my short ride home. Once in the drive way I shut the car down and checked pressures 34psi all corners. One thing I can say is that the temperature just dipped below 70 here in texas for the first time since I picked up the car, but hell if this system is that sensitive I don't want it. I was reading that these sensors have been giving 3 owners problems for years now. Should I just ignore it and call the dealership on monday? Any feedback would be helpful here. Thanks

doesn't hurt to call. mine just came on the other day for the first time (have ~3700 miles on it). but it was around 40, but felt colder. my tires were actually a little low...like 27-30 lbs. i hit em all up with 32 and the light went off after about a minute. just took a little time to register. i dunno if it goes on if there's too much pressure.

perhaps try to run em at the factory spec of 32 and see what happens.

Yeah thanks. Actually what I did was let the air out of all 4 tires and had them refilled with nitrogen at the dealership. They did it for free and it solved the problem. I just hated seeing a warning light on a car that is only 5 days old. =o) I love it.... but now wish I had waited to get the speed 3.
