Tpms

Hi,
Just signed up for the forum to ask what is probably a stupid question. I swapped my all-seasons for winter tires on beater rims last winter. Once I put the all-seasons back on, I never took any specific steps to ensure that the tire pressure sensors were registering properly. The manual only gives a vague set of instructions (turn the ignition to ON, back to ACC, wait 15 minutes, then drive for 10 minutes).
Is there a way to tell if the sensors are working properly? The TPMS light does not stay illuminated on the dash, but then I don't recall it doing that when I first put the sensor-less winter tires on, either.
Thanks for humouring a noob...

Canadian model Mazda 5s pre 2012 do not have TPMS.

You can swap your tires in your 2006 without any problem of a TPMS light coming on.
