I have looked around just about everywhere (including using the Search) to find out information about how long the TPMS batteries will last and if they can be replaced. So far, I have only come up with the batteries could last anywhere from 5-7 years, depending on mileage. (I assume this is because they are motion activated.)
Now that 2004s are getting to be around that 5 year mark, has anyone had a TPMS stop functioning due to the battery? Can the batteries be replaced? How old is too old?
I am thinking about picking up another set used for my winter wheel set and I just want to make sure I am not just wasting some $$.
