TPMS and airbag light question

So we have had our CX-5 for about week now and have ran across two potential issues.

1. When I was driving around last Saturday the airbag light starting blinking. It looked like 6 or 7 rapid blinks and then a pause. I haven't seen this issue before and I haven't been able to duplicate it.

2. Yesterday my fiance got a flat on the car just a little over a week of having it. Sad... Anyway, she told me she had parked at the mall and when she came back to the car and started driving it, she said it felt odd. After about 2 minutes she pulled over to another parking lot and saw that the front tire was flat. There was no TPMS light on the dash indicating a problem. After putting on the spare, the light is flashing though which is normal. I read in the owner's manual that the sensor takes readings for a while before alerting of an issue, but they don't define what amount of time this is and are vague about it. Could it be that this 2 minutes wasn't long enough? From talking to her it didn't sound like a gradual loss, but rather a rapid loss of pressure as she had parked at the mall without any TPMS indication light and then left with a complete flat.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same issue (#1) as you with a car I just purchased (certified 2015 cx5). I sent you a PM too, but really curious if you found anything out about the airbag issue.
