Anyone else having issues with the alarm going off very easily when handling the key fob? It's as if the panic button gets activated very, very easily. Had it go off 3 times on me the other day.

It has happened in the past but it seems to be happening more frequently now. I'm not sure if it is the cold winter, the frequency of having gloves on in the winter, something that disrupted the wiring or circuitry after being t-boned and having repairs done, or maybe a common problem in general. Going to have the dealer check it out when my car goes in next week.

Funny thing is I didn't even hear my alarm go off when my vehicle was t-boned in the parking lot and I was in my apartment. I could have sworn I had the alarm activated as I always do and I'm a very light sleeper.

Mine was very touchy too. The fob opens easily and you can see if there is something messing it up, or possibly modify it a bit to make it less touchy. You could put a piece of tape across the red botton on the outside which would make it hard to press.

About no alarm when you were hit - the standard alarm does not have a shock sensor. If a door popped open or possibly the hood popped up, the alarm would go off. There is an optional shock sensor avaliable that is an easy install.

I see. Good to know. My doors were actually smashed shut, so they def did not pop open. Pretty crazy the alarm doesn't have a built in shock sensor. Tell me more about this mod. Do you have a link or part number, price?

Never mind, I found it on the torontomazda3 forum. Part Number 0000-8F-K01A. Seems to be the same part number as the one for the RX-8. Might pick one up this coming spring. Only about $45. I could have sprung from my bed and beat the piss outta the guy that ruined my 3. And that's priceless. :)

How do you install one of those? Its going to save me alot of $$$ over the viper I want to put! :)

Thank you sir!!! Will this kill my battery say I park and go into the hospital and it goes off and I cant hear it (ofcourse) ?
It shouldn't. The alarm stops after a few minutes. If you adjust it too sensitive and there are a lot of random things setting it off again and again you might have a problem. But then, it might be your neighbors that put you in the hospital. (lick)

LOL Thank you sir, Will put this on my car! :) Im doing my practicals and ofcourse they dont give me employee parking so my car stays parked out in the dark street all night long.

One last thing, can I put one of those LED bars that alarms usually come with? Yeah I wanna scare the thought of stealing my ride out of their head :)

I am not sure what you are talking about, but it is an easy matter to add an LED that blinks. Try an ebay search for "fake alarm led".
