i have about a 2in nick on the left side of my bumper. And i was wondering the proper procedure for applying the touch up paint anyone with experience get back to me on that. Thanx

How deep is the nick? Touch up paint is a pain if you ask me. I never get it right. I THINK someone posted a tutorial on it. If not theres some good websites around that give the correct procedures. I have always been told to put too much on and sand it off so its flush. But I dont know how keen others are to sanding down their paint job, with the risk of scratching it more. Good Luck

I've done it before and it is a pain to make it look right. I had a nice huge nick from a rock on my right fender. I was told by the dealer to apply it in VERY LIGHT coats. Put as many coats as you feel necessary, but do them lightly. Also, make sure the nick is clean. You don't want dirt in there. It doesn't look perfect, but at least the color matches fairly closely so I don't notice it much anymore. Your car color code is on your door frame next to your seat when you open the door.
