well, i wonder what it WILL do to my fuel system, plus how noxious and lethal toulene is i bet that i WILL win races from the other drivers dying behind me that get all the fumes!

You can buy toulene at most hardware stores. And for you guys with turbo using those octane boost products, guess what, you are just buying marked up toulene. People have been using this for years. Usually only when they go to the track and turn up the boost though. It doesn't really hurt your fuel system because it's just like using 100+ octane fuel.

Actualy none of the octane boosters I have seen used toluene at all. I went throught the chemical make ups of them all pretty well. After Talking with Corky I mentioned my car seemed slower wiht the octane boost and he mentioned it was do to the fact most boosters aren't fuel at all so you'll loose power. This is when he recommended toulene.

wouldn't the car need to be reprogrammed or fooled to take advantage of the added toulene?
Otherwise adding it to a car with just the BEGI system would be useless.

Oh, I always thought those boosters were just toulene. I've never used them because they just sounded fishy to me. I think toulene is around $6 a gallon. But you are only supposed to use a certain mix. You can search for that info on the web.

No, it really isn't going to add that much power, it will just let you turn up the boost to 8 or 10psi for short periods, like at the track, and you won't have to worry about detonation.

Interesting side note, if you guys want to know what toluene is, and where it came from.
Toluene is the second "T" in "TNT." Tri-nitro-toluene. It's part of HE, High Explosives.

No wonder it does so well in a combustion engine!!!

Want toluene? Go to Home Depot and start reading the labels on paint thinner. It'll only help you if you have knock. Otherwise, you're just pouring money into the tank to no effect.

The octane rating is about 110.
