Temporary Lack Of Oxygen To The Brain, the only "defense" available to MicaSp33d. Look at the bright side, you could have been in South Orange County, then you'd still be in jail. You're in for some serious consequence, and it'll be on you're DMV record for 10 years. Insurance will be the biggest cost, jail time and license suspension too. You absolutely NEED an attorney, and you may get a judge who's antagonistic toward "street racers".
I was an Orange County Sheriff for 32 years [retired]. You need to go sit in the Superior Court where you're to appear. You can see for yourself who the good attorneys are, then pick the best one you can afford. Your attorney needs to be someone who works in that court, knows the judge, D.A., and is on good terms with that court. Best case, your attorney gets it reduced to a speeding citation [not a criminal charge]. If convicted, as charged, it'll be grim. If it costs $5000.00 for the right attorney, it's well worth it.
P.S. : on April 1, 1978, I got a "ticket" CHP radar for 173 mph [3 felonies, 6 misdemeanors]. After 2 years of continuances, it was reduced to "excessive speed', a citation. It was a "life altering event".
