Tire Size Question!

I need to get new tires ASAP and my dealer told me that a 225/45/18 would work fine on my car. Can anyone second that??

Well i ordered my new BFG G-Force T/A KDW 2's.
Should be on this week some time!!!

That's a tough one and I'm certainly no expert (Both sizes would be an improvement over stock though) However, my personal opinion would be to find a set that are 225/40/18 that fit a 7inch wheel within mgr specs. The tires I have listed in my sig for example will fit our stock rim as they're within specs. Tire rack is a great source of information - Just go to their website and do some browsing..

thanks for the info man.....was looking around on here but could not find too much about anyone switching to th 215/40.....most of what I found was for the 225/45 switch.....but I will check out tirerack....

225-40 is a better fit than 225-45. Some people have reported rubbing
issues with 225-45 due to it being taller. They rub in the top of the wheelwell.
