Tire fitment

Just a question..... will a 205 series tire fit a 17x 7.5 rim???

I curently have a 205/40/17 tire mounted on a 17x7 rim but plan on selling the rims and keeping the tires for a new set. The new set is a 17x7.5

Yes a 205/40/17 will fit on 7.5" rim.
