update... still haven't scanned any of the tickets or anything (yah yah.. im busy man...) and I just got another one... 52 in a 35... i think this is gonna suspend my license again

i swear i thought the limit was 45 on that street... its a big ass 8 lane (4 each side) street called huntington drive... its HUGe... and most of it is 45 but this one section thats "residential"... its 35... WHACK! oh well...

but why is this dangerous?
perhaps as your accelerating a child could run in front of your car?? i dont know.. but its still a BS ticket... i think as long as you stay under the speed limit, no matter how fast you get up to the speed limit you shouldn't get ticketed...

I agree.

The reason I start fast is to get traffic moving. I hate when Im stuck behind a car that takes a mile to get to the speed limit. Just get to the speed limit fast and Im happy.

Improper Acceleration is a complete BS ticket. MY reasoning is this.

Our cars do what....MP3's do 0-60 in just over 8 sec. P5 is tiny bit slower. Don't matter....

So, you mean to tell me, that a Viper, Vette, heck even a Ws6, even the damn cop car itself( well some cop cars), when they just start off normally, they got be getting to 60 faster then us.......are they Improperly accelerating every single time????? and what defines improper Acceleration? Just how long are we "supposed" to take to get to 60 mph or whatever the speed limit is. Is it written somewhere.?

I swear, that only time I got stopped for this, i had the poor cop so baffled at the end of it he just said.......ahhhh forget it, take it easy from now on that's all.

eh I didnt pay as much as protegemp301, but I got a failure to yeild to a pedestrian in a crosswalk ticket, and an accident for the same thing. Im not gonna go into details, but basically I had a 60 year old women or so, run in front of my car, and yes I said run. I clipped her with my left front corner. I tore her Rotor Cuff and her Spleen, 2 points for me, yay. Thank god I didnt get sued, but ya I felt horrible.

my wiper leds cost me 120 only cause i didnt want to go stand in line forever in downtown ft worth to pay for the ticket. they charge you 10 dollars by phone if you do it that away which is well worth me not standing down there for hours at a time. as for the speeding tickets.....i have had my fair share of close encounters and havent been pulled over yet for speeding. the best i think i should have been pulled over for is about 125 in a 60 and my friend saw the cop that was in front of me and i never saw him at all but we had walkie talkies and he said that we just passed a cop so we just kept on going and took the next exit. lucky me.

one time I was a little drunk driving home from work (i know i know not good to drink and drive but my house was 5 min from work and it was 3am. plus i was having some minor problems at the time.) any i am angry drunk (sometimes) so i make a right and decside to floor it down the road. The radar went off so i tried to duck down a street to get away fromt the cop. Well that didn't happen. all of a sudden down the road 6 cop cars surround me. The cop starts his talkin. Blah blah blah. I guess they noticed i was a little intoxicated b/c they made me walk to the cop car so i could see the radar out put. Yup 70mph in 35mph.
I didn't get a DWI (wasn't that drunk). But i got 30+ mph of the speed limit ( $280 5 points on my license), reckless driving ( $150 and 5 point on my license). For a grand total of $430 and 10 point. Lucky i am the biggest bullshiter ever to live b/c i got the prosecutor (sp) to lower eveything to 4 points and $200.

but the worst thing about this whole situation was I got these tickets during my one year probation of my license.
So two moving violations with in the one year equals 180 day suspension of my license. I got them down to 3 months which is going on right now. I get my license back on Jab 7 2003.

another time i got
1. no seat belt ticket
2. obstruction of view (my air freshener hangin off my rear view mirror),
3. failure to exhibit proper documentation (didn't have my license on me)
4. careless driving (because i was driving while i was tired)
5. failure to obey trafic signs ( didn't stop fully at a stop sign at 4am in the morning. stupid me. the kids could be playing in the streets at that time. lol)
6. No front license plate
7. Failure to make repairs ( because my windshield was crack )

yeah 7 god damn tickets!!! i paid over $500 in fines but i got out of the points on my license.

thats why i can't wait till my g/f becomes a cop so i don't have to deal with this bulls***. lol

Hmmm, point systems are used by insurance companys, not the DMV. And your insurance company must be ****ed up cause in most cases 2 points will get you on Risk insurance. An accident is one point, tickets are .5, so 5 points seems quite off.

I live in NJ and YES in NJ the DMV do use the point system. Every state is deffrent. In NJ if you get more 12 point you lose you license. In Insurance to get on the risk insurance (which i am and pay $4k for minimal liablity) you need to get 9 or more points. Accidents count as 5 insurance points in NJ. NJ is the worst state for auto insurance and i hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yah... cali is the same way.. the dmv uses points too.. and once you hit 4 your suspended for sure... sometimes after three

yep im in defensive driving and deffered at the same time so I cant get another ticket for a year or my insurance will go up.

im not gunna win so im not going to bother looking for the power adapter for my scanner

hey think i got all you guys beat. I jusy paid off 4000.00 in tickets plus I'm still paying a 600.00 fine. A total of 44 tickets I believe.

I got a $25 parking ticket. Does that count? I spent about... 65 hours in a 3 hour parking zone. Luckily the meter nazis where I am are inept and didn't notice a nice blue mp3 sitting there for almost 3 days. So it kinda makes all those other tickets seem petty doesn't it? just kidding...
