Throttle Response

I got my AEM intake and now it feels like my throttle response is off. I was thinkin it was all in my head till my friend hid my car around the corner, made me freak out. And he said it feels like you have a throttle response problem like I step on the gas and it takes 2-3 seconds for the engine to relize it. If anyone else has had this lemme know ok. And today at the Mazda dealer ship they were trying to sell some touch up helper stuff with my touch up paint. It removes the blob of touch up paint and makes it so its only in the scratch? has anyone used this? Thanks

From what you are describing about throttle response, you should definately take the intake off and use the stock one till you can figure it out.

when you put the intake on did you reset your ECU? if not.....remove the NEGITIVE terminal of your battery....hop in the car and mash down the breaks a few times (this discharges a few capacitors) wait a few minutes then hook the battery back up.....then start your car and allow it to sit and idle for about 15 minutes and let the ECU relearn a few things....see if that helps....that is if you didn't do that already.

when I installed my intake I notist a small bit of lag from the removel of the resonater, but not 2-3 seconds! thats alot. Id take it in to mazda or ovoid warrenty problems and take it to a independint mech. Just check them out first. I started my car and drove it with out reseting the ecu, and I diddnt experince any thing like that. when I did reset it brought the idle down a little, thats it. good luck!
just to be safe I'd put the stock parts back on

I think it was an air sensor since I was moving the pipe to stop the rubbing on the mount and its fixed so yea. Well thanks for the info I'll let you know if i have further problems
