This stupid alarm system...help!

Ok so for the second time factory alarm system has locked up and wont let me start. last time i just locked and unlocked the driver side door and that disengaged it. This time I am not so lucky. Anyone know where the override button for the alarm is behind the dash?

the button its in a little box located down the steering wheel

The button is small and black and it's mounted on one of the metal brackets underneath the driver's side dash. Unlock and lock the car with the key fob.

fob? is it possible it could have been removed? i was under there for a while and didnt find any button.

Key fob, the black thing with buttons that lets you lock and unlock the car, (keyless entry remote).

ah..dont have one. if i get one from the dealership and program it will that reset it?

The button is what resets the alarm but I always turn off the alarm with the keyfob. They are almost $100 for the keyfob at the dealership plus they charge you to program them, I recommend buying one or two much cheaper on ebay and program it yourself, it's really easy to program.

im having a similar problem but my alarm has drained the brand new battery and i cant even jump start it!! any suggustions?
